An experiment using the Chebyshev distance to determine inequalities/irregularities in Perlin noise.

I'm not sure about the soul, but yes, we're both trying to give concrete form to abstract concepts, to experiment with (presumably to understand them) theories about rhythm and harmony.

It’s very interesting; I don’t know if I’ll do anything with it: my knowledge of electronics is very limited, but I’d love to reuse the principle.

DiceGL — v3ga — Julien Gachadoat

I really like the idea of bringing techno to life; it’s fascinating to make concepts like sequencers, oscillators, and modulators visible. @julienv3ga.bsky.social did something similar with his DiceGL project, he makes randomness physical.

Thanks, yes this one has strong dynamic

A visual game of superimposition: the same or two complementary grids — the voids of one filling the solids of the other — tilted, hatched.

It's beautiful, did you use Perlin noise?

It’s still the same composition, but it contains hidden text (because it’s fragmented, too small, or superimposed on another element): multiplicity of the real (in French, multiplicité du réel)

Yes, a Rotring Isograph with a 0.5 mm nib; a finer nib might clog with this white ink (De Atramentis)

Interdependence

Yes, it is more central and compact, but it offers less dynamic range than the others.

For me, it's not a problem. They make lines that may be irregular, but I think that's part of the game. On the contrary, I find that these imperfections add randomness and fragility, something more sensitive than a printed image.

You don't have to feel that way, I appreciate honesty, and I'm not sure that all iterations are equal either. Which ones are weaker?

Yes, always, that's probably what makes us human beings.

Thanks, in this video, I experimented with two inks (red and white). Curiously, the red disappears quite quickly, and some of the lines resemble matches.

You're probably right, I used that expression because the text is repeated and fragmented, in fact it almost loses its meaning and becomes a purely visual sign, that's why I said it was dumb, but maybe that's not the right word for it.
