A screenshot of Hex packages showing gleam_stdlib v1.0.0. with description "A standard library for the Gleam programming language". Above the screenshot there's a pink star smiling - Gleam's mascot, lucy
It's here! gleam_stdlib v1 released!
See? The cool people are doing AoC in Gleam 😎
I can confirm. I learned Gleam for last year Advent of Code on the morning of December 1st.
Gleam being so small you could learn it in just a couple afternoons with the online language tour, give it a try! tour.gleam.run
Woah how many tabs is that 🤯
Yeah that’s it! Though I doubt any of them will see some use in the near future, if I had to bet on one it would be “test”
Ok now I need the postcard for real, could be a fun goodie to bring to conferences
It’s arguably gleam’s most complex feature! It can take a while to properly grok it
You can try Gleam out without having to install anything in the interactive language tour! tour.gleam.run
Mhm I’m pretty sure it is 🙂↕️
Did you know that Gleam is so small that all of its keywords can neatly fit on a postcard? And only two thirds of those are actually used today
Woaaah so lucky
It definitely takes a bit of a dark turn, it's a really good story so far!
It's the anime adaptation of the best, most gorgeous fantasy manga I've ever read. I can't recommend it enough!!
I think it will be on Crunchyroll! The first episode airs tomorrow
I'm so hyped for the Witch Hat Atelier anime to air tomorrow
Mmh forbidden pizza
I’m still thinking of some language server support for birdie… maybe one day
Very cool read!! “I've also noticed my behavior changing and that I intuitively added more test cases, since the burden to do so is a lot lower now” this was my experience as well
Happy trans visibility day with my favourite @gleam.run easter egg 💖
A piece of receipt paper coming out of a thermal printer with the following lines printed: “ciaoo” “test” “blink twice if this still works” “time to make coffee” “Booh!” “print(“Hello, world!”)” “Is this thing loud? does it disturb you when you work?”
I’m blinking 👁️👁️

I don’t see myself moving anywhere else in the near future, GitHub is still really great overall 😔
Mail from GitHub saying: “Hi there, We're updating how GitHub uses data to improve Al-powered coding tools. From April 24 onward, your interactions with GitHub Copilot-including inputs, outputs, code snippets, and associated context-may be used to train and enhance Al models unless you opt out.”
This was a nice reminder from GitHub it also helped me figure out how to remove copilot entirely from the web UI 😇
Just pretend I did
macOS 26.4 bringing back Safari compact tabs is the best news I'll receive today
