Trump’s argument boils down to this: if Congress investigates me, that’s treason. That is not constitutional government. That is dictator logic.

KERNEN: You're saying you need at least the prospect for a signed deal today or tomorrow or else you would resume bombing Iran?

TRUMP: Well, I expect to be bombing. The military is raring to go.

A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief.

The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.

Trump is on TV now talking about perhaps resuming the bombing of Iran.

Almost two months since he started the war.

And the position of GOP members of Congress is that the people's representatives in Congress should have no say on this. They really do think Trump should have the power of a king.

Here is the truth about President Trump’s tariff mess: the American people got stuck with the bill, and most of us will never see a penny back. 🧵

In February, the Supreme Court ruled many of Trump’s tariffs were illegal. Now the government has to refund over $166 billion, plus interest piling up at roughly $22 million every single day.

Here is the catch.

Only the businesses that paid the tariffs can apply for refunds.

Trump: "We caught a ship yesterday that had some things on it that wasn't very nice. A gift from China perhaps, I don't know. But I was a little surprised, because I have a very good relationship and I thought I had an understanding with President Xi. But that's alright. That's the way war goes."

Trump Administration Takes Steps to Refund $166 Billion in Tariffs The government debuted a system to repay importers two months after the Supreme Court struck down tariffs at the heart of the president’s trade policy.

So let’s be clear about what happened.

The president imposed illegal taxes.

Families paid the price for over a year.

The courts struck them down.

Now businesses may get refunds, but working families almost certainly will not.

And a new round of tariffs is already on the way.

Las Vegas restaurant reflects on high prices since President Trump's last visit promising 'no tax on tips' A Las Vegas restaurant owner says President Trump's no tax on tips pledge hasn't provided relief as he battles skyrocketing food and operating costs.

So tired of these small business owners bitching about how the “NoTax on Tips” did nothing to help them. They are still paying taxes on tips. This guys problem is tariff taxes on produce. HE voted for it! Fool.
He had Trump come to his restaurant during the campaign. Fool. #pinks #bluecrew #resist

Trump started an illegal war where 13 service members and many Iranian schoolgirls died

Gas and grocery prices are through the roof

We can’t afford to pay rent or buy health insurance

And ICE is killing people in the streets

Changes at the federal level are long overdue

Seems to me like Trump is desperately begging Iran to sign a replica of the Obama JCPOA he tore up. All for the low low price of thousands dead, global instability, high energy prices, and a toll on ships through the once-free strait of Hormuz.

Trump just issued a last-minute warning to Virginians that if they vote YES on the redistricting referendum tomorrow, he will lose power:

“If the Democrats get additional seats, they’re going to be making changes at the federal level.”

A poll he doesn’t like: “It’s a rigged poll.”

An election he loses: “The election was rigged. It was stolen.”

A court ruling that goes against him: “The entire process was rigged. Judge was unfair to me.”

Media coverage he doesn’t like: “Fake news. I’ll sue em.”

What a weak, pathetic, coward.
