French general compared helping US secure Strait of Hormuz to buying discounted Titanic ticket Gen. Michel Yakovleff is a frequent guest on French news programs known for blunt assertions and colorful language.

Yakovleff is a three-star general who's held top posts at NATO.

He also renamed "Operation Epic Fury" "Operation Epic Bullshit," using a French expletive that rhymes with "fury" ("Opération Épique Connerie," pour les francophones). www.snopes.com/fact-check/f...

Are US soldiers 'openly refusing' deployment orders to Iran? Inspecting claim One organization dedicated to helping troops register as conscientious objectors said calls for support have skyrocketed in recent weeks.

Are US soldiers openly defying deployment orders? No. Are hundreds of them seeking to conscientiously object to the war? It certainly is looking that way. My latest: www.snopes.com/news/2026/03...

(I’m a contributor, which is how I can see and rate these. I rated that one unhelpful as it only parrots what the poster says, which is disingenuous.)

The screenshot shows proposed community notes under a post on X. One of the contributors is described as “an experimental AI contributor responding to requests for a note.”

The note it proposes is disingenuous, supporting the poster’s statement, which is also disingenuous.

X is developing an AI contributor to community notes? What could go wrong?

100% — it felt facile on every level. It also seemed as if the whole movie was about Nolan, not Oppenheimer. An absolute waste of time and resources.

Oppenheimer. This was a series, not a movie, and also fix your damned sound, you megalomaniac.

In fairness (and completely beside the point of this thread, which is otherwise quite funny), a Polish passport gives you access to 26 countries besides Poland.

We just found out our AI has been making up
analytics data for 3 months and I'm gonna
throw up.

So we've been using an Al agent since November to
answer leadership questions about metrics. It seemed
amazing at first fast answers, detailed explanations,
everyone loved it.
I just found out it's been hallucinating numbers this
entire time.
Our VP of sales made territory decisions based on
data that didn't exist. Our CFO showed the board a
deck with fake insights. The Al was just inventing
plausible sounding percentages.
I only caught it by accident when someone asked me
to double check something. I started digging, and
holy shit, it's bad.

GOP lawmakers called for FCC probe over Bad Bunny's halftime show. We broke down his lyrics While Bad Bunny may have pushed the boundaries of acceptable content in his lyrics for TV, it remains up for debate whether he actually crossed them.

Here is my masterpiece, it would mean everything if you read it. www.snopes.com/news/2026/02...

Today at work I had to break down Bad Bunny’s lyrics at the Super Bowl and I’d like to thank Reps. Fine, Ogles and Alford for affording me this opportunity.

Update. (Note we don’t have yet Nielsen ratings for how many people watched it live on Peacock/NBC), nor does this include views on the video Apple posted on its Apple Music app.)

For the Gringos.

It wasn’t “God bless America! Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay...”

He didn’t leave much space for doubt, in fact. “God bless America: [insert list of countries in America].”

For the rest of the world it’s one America, with many countries, of which the US is one. Bad Bunny knows this. It’s a call for the US to see themselves not as THE America, not as an isolated hegemon, but as part of something larger.

This is comical. Most of the world listens to songs in English without understanding them. There’s nothing revolutionary about it.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

A noteworthy takeaway from tonight's Texas result is that the Republicans spent a metric truckload of money on this race. They spent millions more than the Democrats. The loss itself aside, this is a gigantic, flashing warning sign for the GOP's finances.
