I don't go to furmeets much BECAUSE of this reason - I genuinely end up not being able to hear a single thing and just shutting down out of despair.

I struggle in normal talking conditions, of COURSE I struggle so much more in a venue that's blasting music so loudly I have to leave

Some of the best furmeets I attended were ones I didn’t bring my suit to.

Yeah, getting in the character headspace is fun. But it’s a community, and sometimes it’s as good to sit, talk, and actually socialise within that community.

Fursuits are wonderful things, but… well, Tony Stark said it best.

Incidentally, and I don’t want to name and shame but there are multiple guilty parties, I despise furmeets where the venue has the music so loud you have to shout to hear the person next to you.

It’s a furMEET. Let me talk to people, the music doesn’t need to jiggle my bones to be audible.

Is for a moment
