Sight-impaired islanders dive into 2026 thanks to Lions Club donation A charity supporting islanders with visual impairments has received a £4,000 donation from the Lions Club to fund their swimming sessions in 2026. EYECAN began offering the swimming sessions in partnership with Jersey Cheshire Homes in 2024, supported by the Government of Jersey's 'Connect Me' initiative. One of the participants highlighted the fact that she had not been able to swim for 20 years before the initiative, stating it was the “best thing she has done in years”.

Our EYECAN Cook sessions were a HUGE hit last year, helping visually impaired islanders gain independance in the kitchen.

An amazing update from a client! We had these pictures sent through from a gentleman who is now managing to build models again (a real love of his) thanks to a video magnifier that EYECAN loaned him.

It’s wonderful to hear stories of how much difference our help and equipment can make.

Help find Larry and win £500 for you, & £500 for a charity of your choice! Don't forget to pick EYECAN 😄

All you have to do is head on over to www.FindLarry.je, pick a square on the map of Jersey where you think Larry is hiding, and pick your charity. Good luck!

Fantastic to have support from the Cardiology Team of the General Hospital who popped in last week to undertake proactive heart checks for our clients, volunteers, and staff. Thank you @gov.je

Such a great opportunity to get ahead of any concerns and help keep us all healthy

Yesterday we held our 139th AGM at our wonderful Weslea Centre. Attended by members, staff and volunteers, and led by our dedicated Committee of volunteers and CEO Mark Coxshall, it was an opportunity to reflect on everything the Charity has achieved and to look towards the future.
