That is superb! "Resturaunt, Toilets, Shops" looks somewhat hand painted, signwriters version of Transport perhaps? An absolute gem!!

True but they're private, each regulated network so far has no distinctions. However, on the flip side, has time moved on enough that Wirral buses being green and cream would pass as acceptable?? ;-)

So Liverpools buses were natively Green (and cream) which lasted (in various iterations) until Merseybus chose the maroon and cream livery in the late 80s but buses on the Wirral were blue. Goes back to Manchester choosing Yellow (pale!) over Orange and now SY have shown how to do orange properly!!

I wondered about "Merseybus". The company was Merseyside Transport Limited and Merseybus must have been the brand name they chose to operate under. So when Arriva bought MTL from its employees (and the banks) would Merseybus have gone with them as a TM?

Now you're onto something with that one!!!

Yet Halton isn't included in "Metro" bus franchising...

I'm not a fan of all these Transport for names, Transport for Liverpool City Region is abit much. There was little wrong with Merseyside Transport.

Also, the blobs remind me of BBC Sport/Grandstand..!

Merseyside PTE are adopting the "Metro" brand for everything ala Bee Network apparently...

Appropriate_NHS 50 Given the current crisis I thought this image might be appropriate. Taken during a visit to Norwich, whilst on holiday in Sheringham, I photographed this Class 86. Anglia Railways liveried Class 86 21...

flic.kr/p/2iRC3B4 this one by Andrew Southwell on Flickr. They're not easy to identify, this one "looks" like Transport but its not clear. Pics of the station names are few and far between. The platform numbers at some stations definetly weren't mind...

If you're concerned about Bluesky being better, then I'd encourage you to Repost things you like and want others to see. Hitting Like doesn't do much here.

Low effort PSA.

Photo shows the platform at Deansgate station with the platform sign (against the backdrop of some buildings) sporting new Rail Alphabet 2 typeface but with incorrect usage of the red double arrow logo and also a yellow and black "Hexabee" the logo of the Bee Network. All these are on a white plank that is incorrectly divided by light grey lines, running at the bottom of the sign and between the name and hexabee. Below is a blue and purple sign, with white text proclaiming "Want your business name here" with a black and white QR code.

Whilst @thebeautyoftransport.com appears to have found a nice original, this has popped up at Manchester Deansgate... I really hoped Victoria was a missed error but seems not... Honestly, @doublearrow64.bsky.social, why bother making a manual if no one uses it?! Also, are Northern hard up for cash?

Looks about right, perhaps the overlay has prevented the weathering so it still looks good?
