This is the sort of positive press Putin wishes for.
I admit, though - I long for a better world than this where we could see political leaders all suit up for one massive hockey game after a UN session or something.

Great analysis, and it shores up the Frankel for MVP concept.
May I ask where you're getting PWHL shot locations and advanced analytics data? My usual suspects don't carry them and I legit thought that the PWHL just wasn't tracking it yet (which would be understandable, since it's a young league).
That kinda makes it a period piece too, actually. No nuclear wessels in Alameda anymore. But at least we have the Mythbusters runway...
Oh, wait, that would make it a different period piece. Well, at least we have the USS Hornet.
Not just the C-suite, but the common person as well. Too often I see the "Y2K scare was a conspiracy theory about nothing" talking rise again. It was about nothing people people took it seriously, wrote the code, and deployed the firmware that made it nothing.
Not caring's also a distortion, I fear. We're supposed to care just enough.
I haven't found that balance either, for what it's worth.
Just remember that many people admire your passion, please.
From the Bay Area, same.
Though we gotta do something about the fact that a lot of the rental companies who own CA and NY property are not from that state. I hate that my rent money goes out of state (although at least, for me, it goes to CO rather than, say, TX).
Yeah, that has more to do with inflation over the last few years than a wage hike, and THAT has more to do with corporations gouging the public so that they can make a D president look bad and get an R in place.
I dunno. Anyone who is a Canadiens fan is a little crazy. ;-)
(I say this having grown up a Bruins fan, so please take it in the spirit of fun.)
#1 major in 2025 was "business" per educationdata.org/number-of-co.... Wait, I have a meme for this.
If you know anything about the Swiss Guard, that would be a bad assumption. They may look like reenactors, but they're very highly trained with modern firearms.
I think that transcends the adoption of AIs and has more to do with trauma and fear in a world where tribalism and isolationism have taken precedence over cooperation and globalism.
It was never about direct control. It's about defanging those who could coerce his behavior on the international stage. What happens in Iran does not matter to Putin, who is concerned with maintaining his power in his sphere of influence.
I know it's a little far off, but are you going to the Boston Fleet game on April 11 at the Garden? I know you're a fan of the US Women's Hockey Team and Aeron Frankel will almost certainly be goaltending.
A representative government cannot function if its voters are turkeys. At some point the people need to take responsibility for themselves and their country folk rather than blame the rich. Blaming the rich is another heuristic - it's not the whole solution.
People are primarily heuristic thinkers, and, going back to my original point, that's very bad for the concept of representative government.

Big money would mean nothing if people did not vote for those candidates, yet they do.
None of that works if the underlying premise of representative government - that the majority of people can treat rationally with each other and work toward the better good - has been undermined by both internal and external factors.
It absolutely was a good night.
(As proof of the last, Amanda Thiele definitely proved she deserves more starts with her one chance, but it was still very controversial to start her instead of Frankel.)
Worth noting that overseas players may be tempted more and more to the PWHL as it demonstrates stability and the ability to draw crowds.
I think goalie depth is probably fine. Starters get more workload in the PWHL because of increased time off, so there's lots of buried goalies.
Graf, on why it was important for him to use Pride tape in warm-ups: "Hockey's for everyone. Just wanted to support. The fans were really good. They're showing their support and showing their support for us too. It was a great night."
It's Assassin's Creed. There's now a haystack squarely in the center and every hour a guy in a white robe jumps into it. It's weird, but it's certainly not the worst casino entertainment around.
This is not a great look. Do you know how much latitude the PWHL has in lobbying the arena (i.e. do they have leverage to push Grand Casino to do better and aren't using it or are they powerless)?
He does unless a discharge petition is filed (as with the Epstein bill), and those have their own wacky rules that make them suboptimal for normal legislation.
But the flow of resources to people through work isn't the only pipeline. If we have enough resources, then "it's wrong that I not be allowed to work for my subsistence" is a flawed stance if bosses don't want the workers. It's why I keep saying UBI.
And also stepfather to our favorite Gamgee.
But it's the PWHL. Half of them aren't going to make it, at least until the next round of expansion.
'sides, you're a Sharks fan now, so don't you want the Golden Knights coached worse? Cassidy is a good coach and probably didn't deserve to be fired.
