I started working on craft reading & studying today.

Found a great YouTube series that’ll get my brain in motion to write these books + comic book.

The next 6 months will be getting into my personal curriculum.

This year is about studying; 2027 is about writing. I’m so amped.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate!

As a Zeta, I’ve been laughing at this all morning.

Like… Trina is right there. She would’ve been a cute look for the Ks.

Choosing Trick Daddy in 2026 is a wild choice, & on theme for the kind of shenanigans this year is on.

I loved that Dawn expressed her anger about Geno.

Black women dealing with foolishness on the job by yts - a relatable tale.

Felt cathartic to see.

Go Coach.

We need platforms like MEGAsheen. Creating art is vital, esp in these times.

I miss listening to yall.

If you do decide to bring it back, know that we’ll be ready & support. 💜

Who Made It Possible?  Bessie Blount Griffin, the Inventor of the Automatic Self-Feeding Device
Who Made It Possible?  Bessie Blount Griffin, the Inventor of the Automatic Self-Feeding Device YouTube video by Day in the Life | Vilissa Thompson

The first inventor we discuss is the one whose inventions allowed disabled veterans to retain their independence - Bessie Blount Griffin.

Bessie's innovative thinking may not have been appreciated by the VA, but she wasn't deterred. She persisted, as we do.

Thinking of my beloved tiger queen Alice Wong today, and what better a way to celebrate than with her work; Alice was so many things, and among them was an incredibly sharp, talented writer with a luminous love for words.

So... what could this mean for wheelchairs users like myself, & other disabled + elderly folks, who can't walk through the body scanners at the airport & have to do the already invasive patdowns?

I wouldn't want an 🧊 agent touching me or my chair for the searches. JFC

I’m considering creating a true crime watched list on my Letterboxd & giving mini reviews of my thoughts.

If that interests you, let me know. And drop your Letterboxd link in the comments so that I can follow you (if we interact on here - no randoms).

Had another meeting with someone familiar with filmmaking.

They’re very interested in engaging with me for my doc & allowing me to use their name for leads.

They gave a great response to my concept note/treatment.

Great feedback & energy to receive on a Monday.

This is the year I’ll start writing my films - a documentary & a feature.

I’ll be on that stage for both.

Speaking it into existence.

I loved seeing the music scene from Sinners on stage.

Misty Copeland was a nice touch.
