Dont get me started on the mass culling of normal morph babies because they aren't worth the mice they eat unless they're ~dEsIgNeR~, and then tons of the fancy designer breeds end up having severe quality of life issues because of the irresponsible breeding 💀

It is RIDICULOUSLY common in the community. Folks having several hundred pythons because they breed for morphs and treat the snakes clutches like slot machines is a dime a dozen instance it feels like.

Have old vintage tails from recycled garments and can confirm, not at all big and definitely no where near as thick as anything on the right @@

That goes for native bugs/lizards/critters too!! Those aren't YOURS to take, leave them alone and enjoy them in their environment.

They're not cool little things to collect and show off, they are living things evolved to the environment they inhabit, respect them and leave them the fuck alone!!

Even with dead animals, if you see it in the wild then leave it there. It's not yours, it's not a potential cool thing for you to own. From feathers to nests to animal carcases, they ALL give back to the environments they're in, they feed wildlife and soil so respect that and leave it there!!

Left that community and the exotic reptile community for much the same reasons. Large swaths of folks treating living things like potential products for sale and decor to the point of completely turning a blind eye to how they came to be in the first place.

100% though, forever and a day ago I was one of those huge vulture culture folks who collected bones/hides/etc and yea no pmuch none of that shit is 'ethically obtained' even if they say otherwise.

there's such disrespect towards animal remains in the community and sometimes it feels like people use therianthropy as a shield to avoid criticism. like dude I have some parts I ain't proud of the source, I don't buy parts anymore bc I don't trust anyone to give it to me straight.

genuinely you can't really take any "ethical" tail/fur sellers at their word unless they are able to give you documentation from where they got that animal. if you have some big fluffy fox tail, 99% chance that thing was auctioned off by a fur farm and is NOT "fur farm scrap"

Currently having to pay an ungodly amount to fix my teeth as well. Medical neglect and demineralization have made it so even if I save them all now, dentures are imminent. I would appreciate it if I could at least keep them a few more years, any help is greatly appreciated
