Another banner episode of the NosillaCast — packed with tech interviews, deep dives into tech products, and a discussion with my old buddy Joseph Nilo about OpenClaw. He’s not old; our friendship is old. You know what I mean!

In my review of the ViewSonic VP2788-5K, I noted you can't control brightness from the keyboard. I learned this is true of most 3rd-party displays. The app BetterDisplay gives that control, & I now fully endorse the ViewSonic 5K display.

Close-up product image of a pair of beige Cearvol wireless ear buds hovering above an open charging case. The case has a glossy screen on the front displaying the time “12:00,” the date “Thursday, June 20,” and battery levels at 100% for the case and both left and right earbuds. The earbuds are labeled “Cearvol,” and the case lid is open, revealing molded slots inside.
@podfeet.bsky.social interviews Brian Feeser from Cearvol about their affordable over-the-counter hearing aids and their glasses with embedded hearing aids. #a11y #CES2026 www.podfeet.com/blog/2026/04...

In this very fun installment of PBS, @bartb.ie teaches us how to use CSS “variables”, which aren't actually variables (they're custom properties). Theyallow you to take advantage of Bootstrap to style web pages, but make the look and feel all your own.

The Apple Studio Display is a great monitor, but the @viewsonic.bsky.social 5K display comes in at more than a $1000 less, and it’s really close in hands-on comparison.

This totally impromptu conversation with Jason was so much fun and shows off an inventive way that he does his video shorts!
You may hear a change in the audio this week, thanks to Auphonic. We’ve got 2 more great interviews from CES, a wicked cool iPhone case, and learn how my buddy Ron actually had the battery replaced in his 10-year-old Tesla!

Looking for a smart watch for your child that gives you a lot of control, and isn't tied to an iPhone or Android phone? This might be a good solution for you.
Some days are really tough, and this definitely is one of them. My dear friend John Martellaro passed away today. John is one of the smartest people I've ever met and had the kind of resumé most of us can only dream of. He was an astrophysicist. He worked for NASA.
