I heard on 97.3 this afternoon via Dennis Lin, Sasaki is rather shy (or something like that). LA would overwhelm him while San Diego would be a great fit. Plus he not only has Darvish but Niebla too. Found out through the interview, Sasaki and Darvish have the same agent.

Padres have a knack for converting relievers to starters, Lugo, and King. With Niebla signed multi-year contract, it will be attractive for relievers who wants to be a starters.
