It's always so fun when you get to be friendly like this. In any game, really. Running friendly invasions in Dark Souls, or finding an enemy team member off by their selves and just bobbing around hoping they get the message

April schedule!

More Outer Wilds, more DREDGE, finishing my DS3 INT run, and then some Evoland!

Not sure how much I have left in DREDGE or Evoland, but that's what the [FILL] games on the right are for! And Outer Wilds seems like it has more than enough to fill five slots. :D

You can omit "does that sparkle" if you don't want Hallow right away, and "how did I get here" will most likely spawn you underground. (Some instant heart lanterns and NPC houses in exchange for some difficulty.)

Some other seeds, like "mole people", also work. But they don't make extra islands.

If you want more sky islands in #Terraria skyblock, use any or all of these Secret Seeds;
- thecarebearsmovie
- purify this
- does that sparkle
- toadstool
- sandy britches
- winter is coming
- water park

I like adding these;
- save the rainforest
- abandoned manors

Also try;
- how did I get here

Not recognizing most actors is such an adventure sometimes. What do you mean Carl (Van Helsing) is Faramir (LoTR)??

【Terraria 1.4.5 ⟡ Skyblock】What was this animation? YouTube video by Sir Greaves

I should probably post this one here, too.

Hello, Bsky! I'm looking for an animation I saw 5-10 years ago (+/-) about a couple OCs who go through some sort of catastrophe where one mutates and the other disappears.

It was dark, short, and a certain part was only a few frames.

Sir Greaves' Streamathon timer, inspired by gothic architecture and other medieval things.

The normally numeric display now reads "end:ty:to", and there are eight banners below displaying the names of Sun Squires who donated and how much time they each added.

Streamathon was a great success!

The Sun Squires added nearly two weeks to the clock! I tried 16 games I probably wouldn't've otherwise tried, and gave a second chance to a couple I didn't remember enjoying.

Now I have 10 'new' games to continue and a good start on acquiring Greaves 2.0!

An unrefined drawing of a box displaying "000:00:00", a couple half-hexagons below it displaying "+10:00" and "+00:10", some curly lines and a bell shape drawn above.

And here's the initial concept I sent, in case anyone likes seeing those.

A screenshot of Sir Greaves' Streamathon countdown timer. It's heavily inspired by castles and gothic architecture, featuring crenellations and carved scrolls, prominently displaying a set of metal wheels which display numbers in a gothic font.

Beneath the number wheels is a cylinder of mostly red, with gold accents at either end.

The decorations atop the timer feature a bell with Sir Greaves' sun emblem subtly outlined, and the decorations on the bottom feature his sun emblem yet again, but embedded within a hexagon.

Another screenshot of the same timer, but this time displaying a banner that has seemingly unrolled from the red-and-gold cylinder from the previous screenshot and has covered the lower decorations of the timer.

The banner is red with gold accents, featuring half of Sir Greaves' sun emblem at the top center. Angled text at the bottom of the banner reads "SirGreavesVT +01:15:00" in the same gothic font as the number wheels.

Extremely happy with the work @sinistersuns.bsky.social did for my Streamathon timer!

It's so much fun to work with artists! :D

Screenshot of chat messages sent from Sir Greaves to an artist.

First message: "Hear me out: three emotes" [laughing emoji]
Attached image is of a "poorly-drawn" sub sandwich divided vertically into thirds.

Second message: "So they can do this" [laughing emoji]
Attached image is of the same sub sandwich, but with the middle section duplicated a couple times to make the sandwich longer.

Third message: "or this lmao"
Attached image is of the sub sandwich with the middle taken out, making the sub sandwich short.

Or y'know. Do the placeholder stuff yourself. It doesn't matter if it's "poorly-drawn". If you can use AI, you can pick up a pencil. (Or a mouse.)

Draw stick figures. Draw wobbly boxes. You'll never be shamed for not disclosing that you drew the placeholder yourself.

I'm so sick of the slop.

People've been so loud for so long about generative AI actively hurting artists that I strongly believe anyone who continues to use it simply doesn't care.

Generative AI has no place in the creative field. Not used as references, inspiration, or for placeholder images. Hire artists.

I find so many artists I've never seen before when researching ref on every single painting I make. This is the way we make connections. Using genAI to make reference is creating unseen missed opportunities at unprecedented speed and removing one more human element of art making.

Sponsorblock is huge for stuff like that. I have YT Premium, but I'm keeping Sponsorblock on. Everyone I watch gets a bit from Premium, and I'm never going to buy the sponsored product anyway.

Sir Greaves' Streamathon Announcement!
Sir Greaves' Streamathon Announcement! YouTube video by Sir Greaves

I'm doing a Streamathon in January!

Making an event of it is probably the best way to convince myself to try these games I've been picking up on sale throughout the years. My usual stream schedule is too sparse to try them normally, and a Streamathon itself is new to me! :D

Behold, Warpstar Platinum.

Fitting this within the 20 allowed decals was surprisingly difficult. Not being able to scale X and Y separately probably contributed to that.

It's been so endearing seeing so many people give SpaceDev1 (the original artist) tips to help them with perspectives, and also stuff like Mallorie Rodak setting it as her profile pic.

Even the gap in the mirror and the recursion in the phone! Nice work!

Or have the glyphs configurable in the game's settings. Just throw 'em all in there and let the players choose lol

7 months ago 1 0 0 0

Similarly, I've only ever used a Nintendo style controller. So A/B X/Y are always reversed from what I'm used to.

But the positions are always the same, so some sort of directional face button indicator would work I think.

(Although, I could swear certain games would just pick up your type)

Youtube is running my Shorts through an AI "enhancement" filter, and I don't have a choice.

There's no checkbox to opt-in.

It's going back and affecting Shorts I've uploaded well before they started rolling this out.

Nobody I know wants this.

I keep forgetting that they marketed it as "DS2" and that this ISN'T a Dark Souls 2 remake or re-release lol

It's easier to run with a team, IMO. Even randos. I tend to follow whoever marks the map first.

Runs can go belly-up pretty fast, but I think that's just part of the game.

Level 6/7 by night one, 10/11 by night two, is generally pretty good. Boss weakness is important too, stops certain attacks.
