Mostly with Google and Android it sounds good and great but then it dies off. WhatsApp will work with them on it. But only WhatsApp, other companies probably won't even bother to integrate. Eventually it'll just die off or become a dead feature.

How do people work and watch movies on their laptops on a flight?

I'm too conscious about what the person would think or that they'd get pissed that every time I travel eventho I've packed my laptop I never took it out mid mid flight cuz 😵‍💫
