I recommend Grant Abitt, this man single handedly made me love Blender and I actually modeled a few things on my own since the well tutorial.

On small companies you are afraid after each project if they can keep you. If they have a next prioject. They night not have stockholders but they do have publishers. So better for both sides... my pay was so bad.. and there was at some not even free drinking water...
With single exceptions those 1 or 2 people mostly cant live from it. Some develop 1-2 games in their free time and then quit forever. And they often need to find a publisher. Self publishing is even harder
Exactly. I honestly was better treated in big companies then "independent" studios. They are always stuggle with money and there are never _any_ benefits.
Just indies dont treat their work any better :/ overtime in indie ist often not compensated. Often no HR, paying bills late and a lot less py :(

Meeting my family is always a challenge. So far we always only hope that they are not as mean and dump. But their old fashioned views are sometimes hard to take. My aunts barely leave the house and then they say something like "I was never molested I dont know what other women complain about" just..

I was massively underpayed. There were NO benefits at all. Not even parties when we released a game. No compensation for overtime. No HR no one that protects ...1/

Things bigger companies in games often provide.
Scream that big companies should die but that might lead to a death of quality games at all because if I would have stayed at smalll companies I would not do thos job anymore.
