So, apparently the package I stayed at home to receive "between 10.00 and 14.30" today is now being delivered either today or tomorrow "before 22.00", depending on which tracking service I look at. Very helpful.

I also remembered to run at least one load of laundry! I try to mainly do laundry after 10 pm because power is cheaper then, but I often forget it until just before I'm about to go to bed. ๐
In spite of the unplanned extra trip into town tonight I have managed to do some more planting/potting, and given a thorough soak to three poor honeysuckles I rescued from Lidl. I'm far from certain they'll survive, but they were reduced to just over ยฃ2 and I figured it was worth a shot.
I'm back at home again. It probably would have been okay to leave it plugged in overnight, but I'm not staking my office's and the building's safety on a "probably". Going to buy a timer for that particular outlet tomorrow to make absolutely sure this won't happen again.
Well, guess which genius forgot to unplug the charger for her electric scooter at the office and had to make an extra drive into town at 9 pm to fix that. ๐คช

Happy birthday!
Ooooh, the red one is goregous!

Nice! =D I've been working in my garden today, repotting some Clematis and setting up the area around my garden compost.
Happy birthday!!!
Oh, and I've also finally settled for a plan for the stretch of "lawn" just inside my hedge that is 98% moss due to barely getting any direct sunlight. Fingers crossed I can get at least some of it done tomorrow.
sometimes I have to go for a slightly longer drive just to clear the filter. Annoying, especially with fuel prices as they are, but at least it's an easy fix.
6. Cleared the diesel particle filter of my car. It's technically self-cleaning, but you need to drive over a certain speed for 20 minutes for the cycle to complete. Since I mostly drive shorter stretches (15-20 minutes) and it takes about 10 minutes for the engine to get properly warm,
3. Bought two large-ish pots to flank said bin, and two pretty clematis plants to put in them.
4. Prepped the pots for outdoor use by drilling holes in the bottom for drainage.
5. Unloaded my winter set of wheels from the car. Still need to give them a wash before putting them away, though.
I slept very late today but still somehow managed to have a productive afternoon/evening.
1. Went and picked up about 100 roof tiles someone was giving away for free. I plan to use them for a terrace project in my back garden.
2. Bought and assembled a composting bin for garden waste.
urgent without being specific, especially with both of them already having some health issues. Thankfully it was not something that bad this time (nothing health related) but damn, not how I wanted to start my Friday. I've now set some new rules regarding the "pls call me asap" kind of messages.
Nothing like starting your day with a "please call me as soon as you wake up" message with no further context from a parent. ๐ฌ Ever since the call informing me of my brother's death in 2019 my anxiety spikes whenever I get a call from my parents at unusual hours, or texts that hint at something
Aaaaaaaaaaaah, how am I going to survive until next update?!?! Please, I need to know my boys will all be fine!!!
(I'm just venting excitement in your direction, please don't take this as any kind of demand for quicker updates or spoilers. ๐ฅฐ)
I really need to catch up on this series!
For fizzy drinks. ๐
I will never, ever understand why people deliberately seek out stuff they don't like just so they can complain about it. It's such a stupid, pathetic mentality.=(
Annoying that they couldn't just change it, but yay for at least not having to pay for the digging and new tap!
The text itself exists in English as well (www.dfordog.co.uk/blog/funny-d...) but it's the way the radio host reads it, trying and failing not to laugh, that makes it so incredibly funny. XD XD XD
I was just reminded of a classic radio clip in Swedish featuring "the dog's diary vs the cat's diary" and gods, I wish I could share it here! (I mean, I technically could but I have approximately 1 follower who speaks Swedish, so...).
It cracks me up every single time I listen to it. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
A drawing of a little crying dragon looking up at the rain. The caption reads, "having a hard time does not make you a failure"

"There's this expression, 'cursed by the gods'. What does that curse entail?"
"Literally, 'may people behave like humans at you'," the god said.
"Ouch! And 'blessed by the gods'?"
"Same thing."
"How can it be the same?"
"The difference," said the god, "is which people's attention you catch."
