I am so close to making the switch. The only reason I haven't is that I have two drives on my computer, one with (most of) my data, and the other with windows and programs. I don't know if I can easily partition an existing drive into two parts so I can install Linux and slowly move everything over

Used Memrise to get some Swedish and German basics and it was honestly really good.
Does have an AI-chat feature, which lets you practice with a bot, but the rest of the app has no AI features that I remember.
Really liked the whole app and you can get really far without premium.

For a moment there I was wondering if you had "been in" the Atlantic ocean on the US side but not the EU side
This looks soooo good!
Belfast Christmas market bans sale of AI-generated art.
In Belfast, the battle between technology and tradition is playing out at an artists’ market. Organisers of the Christmas fair have banned AI-generated artwork, insisting on "human creativity" as artificial intelligence floods the art world
I'm looking for any games, mobile or even web dev work. I can code in multiple programming languages (C/Java/Python/Lua & more). I am familiar with Godot & Unreal I can do mobile & retro dev. Anything, contracting, freelance, if you know any leads or if anyone is looking to hire. Shares appreciated.
Ahh I see it now. I completely misinterpreted the graph. Thanks for the heads up!
Seems like the gap was closing, and after Brexit, it reversed course and started widening.
Shit shit shit.
Difficult realization that we're financially at our limit. I need work yesterday to support my wife and I. At this point, anything goes. Full time, part time, you pay and I code for you.

You should definitely try this demo out! Such a cute game!
Found this video of the storm. Such a movie-like experience...

Screenshot of live thunder map over the country of Portugal. Red and orange dots mark where lightning is striking. Older strikes are blue. Seeing the color gradient indicates the path of the storm, leading up to Portugal.

Currently in Portugal and just experienced the biggest thunderstorm in my life. Sky was flashing non-stop for 30 minutes. Felt like I was in a videogame.
Norrwyn logo, resembling a badge or patch. It has Norrwyn in all caps on the bottom, on what seems to be the ground. On top of that there is a blue fox. Above that, a orange star.
Hard at work on studio rebranding. While there are still things to finalize, I'm really happy with the progress! I'm aiming to have everything ready before the end of the year. I'll likely post a write up on @norrwyn.com on lessons learned!
In the mean time, here's our (extremely cute) logo
Hi! I don't like having to ask on a public forum but I'm still waiting for replies to the contact form on the debug website & DM's. I paid for 3 months of debug and unfortunately only received #10 :c Is there a better way of reaching out that I'm missing?
@ryanforrester.bsky.social congrats on making the featured game!
Hi there! Is there a particular place one should reach out to about an issue with their order? I tried the contact form and dm'ing here, but haven't heard back :c
Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."
Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Literally learned about Little Rocket Lab this morning, played the demo for a little over an hour before work, and I can safely say: This game is super cute and people are going to love it.
Now you gotta pay dog tax, I don't make the rules 🤷
If it helps, the pitch was really nice and I adored the art style 💜
Photo of the Nexus stage. The projector reads "Nexus game conference" and has a list of partners below it.
Photo of the nexus lanyard and pass, reading "André Silva" and below "Norrwyn Limited".
Just got home from Nexus Games Conference. Couldn't stay for the post conference drinks, but I really enjoyed the talks and meeting the always super friendly people. Highly recommend catching the next edition if you didn't this year!
excellent tutorial on ALL Godot 2D Nodes under 9 minutes. Found it while searching a video to send to someone starting Godot and ended up learning a ton myself too. www.youtube.com/watc... #gamedev #godot

That was great fun!
I'm using Futo Keyboard and am pretty happy. The autocomplete isn't as good as something like GBoard, but if you can get used to that, it does everything you need!
Ah I hadn't heard that! Neat! My personal wish is that they add pins across workspaces
