My reducing travel to the US isn't because I am concerned for myself, it is because many trainees at my institution either get hassled at the boarder or can't go due to passport bans. We can send them elsewhere.

can you also check universities and colleges? I came in on an h1b as did many of my colleagues. This fee is more than many academic salaries and universities won't afford it. It could really hit US academic leadership

My first academic article was on the dictatorship of Uzbekistan inventing a group called "Akromiya" that did not really exist but which they used to arrest anyone with whom they disagreed under the pretext of "terrorism". Just bringing this up for no reason whatsoever!

-driven by integrity, not just profit
-good at detecting plagerism and repeat publication of data
-good at detecting fake data
-good chance of surviving so papers published now will be available in the future

You will join a team of 14 dedicated staff in Canada's National Ultra-high field MRI platform who also operate 3T and 7T human scanners in the same facility.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
