Just watched The Shadowless Tower (Chinese, 2023, Criterion). A lovely and quietly wrenching study of middle aged meaninglessness; a man leaving little behind him; how exquisite politeness can cause reclusiveness. Its absence of life, its own shadow, elicits desire for life. Highly recommend!
