Happy new year from us to everyone out there. It's going to be a long year ahead, thankfully just as long as the last. Even if things ahead look difficult, stay strong and hold onto friends and family - chosen or given - and keep each other as safe as you can, you're in this together

A: That's not to say it's the correct thing to do, I've been in too many where the best thing is to be as far away from that person as possible, hopefully on another planet or in another dimension altogether. And definitely some people don't deserve the healing, just realising their horrible mistake

A: Obligatory #SteamReplay. Planning on letting M get a bit more time to play games she likes too in 2025 instead of hogging the spotlight, or at least play games we both like together

A: Got insanely excited at work today because I've been getting to write up documentation for my team??? And something about the organisation of wiki pages and making everything neat and tidy and standardised just tickles my brain so nicely that I lose hours in it /pos 😊

M: I am thankful at least BlueSky seems to draw people in who are up for genuine discussion, and the prevailing feelings are hope and respect for one another.
Perhaps I am jaded, stung by the mires of despair on alternative platforms.

M: I never understood venting on social media. I can understand seeking support for what might trouble you, but the extremes some go to concern me - misery and doom freely spread into the world with very little support or help taken. Surely we should strive for a net positive impact on others, no?

Not sure how much I'll use this. Maybe a little, maybe a lot

I swore off of any social media besides basic communication years ago and I don't want to kick that good habit. But maybe somewhere like this, with good and kind people, is worth the chance
I just need to make sure I don't doomscroll lol
