CONTENT JOB ALERT: Come work with me at Curious Plot as a Senior Content Manager in Minneapolis! Our agency focuses on food, agriculture, and animal clients. Experience with Ag content is a huge plus.
You mean in the 1990s when they called me and my boss "the Barbies" because we were women with blonde-ish hair? Even though we were doing the same work as the dudes?
Has anyone seen a video or good explanation for how Bluesky works targeted toward older folks (older boomers)? I'm trying to get my elders off Facebook (so I can get off Meta, too), but it's super confusing for some of them.
Anybody have good book recommendations for 17-18 women who like fantasy or WWII-like dramas?
Right!? Grammarly always wants to change perfectly good sentences because of passive voice ... grrr (BTW, otherwise I love you Grammarly)
It's a valid point. I'd read that.
sigh...
I had a gap year in England with Newfie roommates. So, I got a full education about Atlantic Canada. I would love to go to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland someday.
Also, we'll try to keep Elon away from Pierre. We don't need a rich boy-led North America. (At least Mexico's president is on a roll!)
I always wanted to grow up to be Canadian -- it's only a few hours to the border. Hopefully, Pierre & friends won't cause too much trouble. Keep the dream alive for those of us in Minnesota.
It seems like IA got subsumed under content design and content strategy. I do all three of those things, and I think IA still makes a product/project more successful.
Modern architecture! ha.
We bought a fixer-upper. The roof wasn't designed for the snow Minnesota winters and it leaked all over. So, we made it air-tight... and then realized we made it TOO air tight. sigh....... all the $$$$$.
Save yourself, Canadians!
I guess we were low budget, but we just used rubber bands.
I feel your pain. A room in our modern house had it's own ecosystem -- moisture would gather on the ceiling and then rain down on us. That was an expensive fix ...
The stuff about consent is also troubling.
I've supported The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for more than a decade. They mainly help Kenyan orphaned baby elephants and rhinos, but their mission is to save all creatures, great and small.
This video gives me all the feels. Hope you enjoy it.

I was super excited to see the Keith Haring stamp and thought it would be the best seller.
Then I saw the Betty White stamp. I hope they made a bunch of those Bettys. Golden Girls fans are going to go bananas.
once was enough for me ... my husband eats the whole tub.
Yeah, that's part of if for sure! It's like drinking out of a fire hose. After the first few it becomes white noise.
I have a ReMarkable. I write handwritten notes in digital "notebooks" and send them to my computer transcripted. That is all it does, and that's what I like about it.
A lesson in knowing your audience:
My kid is applying to college. We received hundreds of wildly creative, engaging brochures from schools (looking at you, UChicago). But the kids never looked at them.
I hope colleges have TikToks or Insta posts because the brochures are just for the parents.
Hey Twin Cities content people: Check out this great job for an up-and-coming content strategist/marketer at the American Swedish Institute! The team there is lovely. recruiting.paylocity.com/recruiting/j...
You might want to try something like Otter.ai, where you can see the transcript happening in real time. (There's also a recording.) It does cost a wee bit tho.
This is a fascinating telling of what a modern-day coup attempt looks like.
(I often think of how the world changes while I sit here doing corporate content strategy as if nothing is happening...)

Bought it yesterday!
the lyrics *are* really good
Yayayay! You're here! :)
I use a bunch of em-dashes. The other day, I wrote an article for a client WITHOUT AI, and Grammarly said it might have been made by AI. No, siree, that was my BRAIN.
