Or Montana's Republicans just choosing to ignore/break the law, as they have across the nation.

It is a big win to be sure, but Republicans, including the Republicans running our state, have proven time and time again they're willing to just ignore the law, so this will still need to be watched closely.
Rising rapidly. Our house's assessed tax value more than doubled over the past five years.
Also, our trans representative here was not long ago actively barred from participating in sessions by the far-right assholes running our government.
So don't be too eager to move here yet.
Montana supreme court broke a mold. The Montana legislature is still happily steamrolling decency to push their christo-fascist agendas.
This is a big win, but I'm expecting the right wing here to just flat-out ignore it and break the law, as they have across the country.
Maybe not yet. Montana state legislature not long ago actively barred our elected trans official from attending sessions, kicked her out of committees, and tried to keep her from sitting on a bench outside assembly as she tried to keep doing her job.
The governor is a young-earth POS too.
1. In a landmark ruling, the Montana Supreme Court has declared that the constitution, one of the most progressive in the nation, entirely protects transgender people.
The ruling is even insulated from SCOTUS decisions, due to how state constitutions work.

Until the "Overtly Terrible Speak-The-Quiet-Part-Out-Loud-And-Get-Rewarded-Instead-Of-Resigning" era the republican party is in, Montana had a decent mix of right and left wing officials throughout the different layers of gov't.
Over 1/3 of residents still voted against Trump past three elections.
The christo-fascist republicans trying to take over Montana have done a lot of terrible anti-trans crap lately, despite 1/3 of voters being 'blue'. Your skepticism is still valid, and I'm expecting the right-wing to try to circumvent or outright ignore this ruling.
But this is still a big, big win.
I've never had a smart phone, and I keep not regretting it.
I haven't even had a flip phone in 12 years.
"Sorry I gotta run no time have an appointment to get to nice seeing ya bye now!" *run out and door slam*
The mental gymnastics these willfully-ignorant dolts do would be impressive if the consequences weren't so worrying.
Screenshot showing headlines reporting the shut-down of a well-known generative ai video creation service after just 15 months.
I hope this is only the start.
Keep the ball rolling. Let's katamari this bunch of bullshit straight into the unmarked grave it deserves.
FFS you don't need to speed the video up, it's impressive already.
"Thaler's lawyers said, "even if it later overturns the Copyright Office's test in another case, it will be too late. The Copyright Office will have irreversibly and negatively impacted AI development and use in the creative industry during critically important years.""
Good.
I flippin' love cabrales. The most aggressive cheese I've yet tasted.

"Don't speak ill of the dead" just unnecessarily punishes the dead person's victims.
Hilarious :D
Wonderful creature, and great video. Thank you for sharing.
Good thing they were also excommuned by inertia too. :)
Ohhhh, if only.
But these far-right nutjobs love making big boasts without following through, and they like the consequences of their own actions even less. I'm not holding my breath.
This is excellent. :)
I read paperback books in the shower without damaging them. :)
I like their album "The Mollusk".

I love the fact that people who complain about virtue signaling are completely ignoring the fact that them doing so is also virtue signaling.
Oh wait nevermind, I DO know you. Hi!
How can you target me with this post? I don't even know you. /j
