My mum is blind so I grew up aware of how to adapt & to try to make light of struggles rather than complain. But my goodness this week - sinusitis (again!) meant no smell or taste, hearing was muted & painful, completely lost my voice. I did have a sense of humour failure.

I think it’s worth letting it play out for the season and then review.
Overall, I’m for it from a player welfare perspective.

My sanity was very nearly bamboozled by their cunning plans.

Bronchostop pastilles are a godsend. I find they really help suppress my urge to cough. Plus they’re soft so don’t cut your mouth up.

I’m hoping I inherit some of my mother’s toddler-like energy. She’s 74 and runs rings round the rest of us. If she keeps it up to the same age as your grandad though, I will be delighted (& tired from trying to keep up).
