Earlier this year, I met with our Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram to talk about the role of the Wirral in the wider Liverpool City Region.
We discussed the importance of addressing the housing crisis across the Region and the urgency to deliver the right homes in the right places.

🚌 I was delighted to celebrate Mayor Steve Rotheram’s plan to take our buses back into public ownership - this means new and better buses starting on the Wirral and St Helens in 2026.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day - this is a day is to come together and reflect.
It's a reminder of our shared endeavour to learn the lessons of the past and ensure we don't repeat them.
Wirral Foodbank is doing vital work for our community.
I met the team recently and saw first-hand how they’re supporting some of the most vulnerable families.
The message from them was clear: lifting the two-child benefit cap will make a real difference to the lives of families across the Wirral.
I heard three things when I was out chatting to people in Meols:
1️⃣ Improvements to the NHS
2️⃣ Roadworks
3️⃣ The carbon capture project

Great to meet students from Liverpool John Moores University!
It’s always exciting to welcome students from my old university to Parliament – it was great to hear about their studies and answer their questions about life as an MP.
🆕 Half a million more children will get access to Labour's free breakfast clubs next year – boosting parents' work choices and children's life chances.
I've written to eligible schools across Wirral West to encourage them to join the scheme.
Balanced out my Barbetta's salad with some chips! Highly recommend it.
