Sight in San Francisco (from a friend)
Only if you live in the US. I'm in Canada. We can live without crappy US goods and their entitled tourists.
You can tell what they do with the rest of their time from that one video?
Is Brianna Wu in the room with you right now?
What makes you think they aren't?
I know people will want to stay to fight. And that's honorable and brave. But so is leaving and choosing to survive. Don't let anyone tell you that you that you shouldn't leave. Just know that if you do decide to leave, we will find a place for you. My DMs are open to answer any questions.

I know it's not easy to leave. To uproot your life and leave everything behind. It won't be easy to resettle either, even in a country that shares your language.

I can't promise your claim will be accepted. No one can do that, for anyone. But I can tell you that your chances now are better then they've ever been. And I mean now, not based on a potential terrorist designation.

Look folks, I know more than the average person about the refugee system in Canada and I really want to emphasize this. If the US designates all trans people terrorists, just come.

It is particularly difficult to collected completed suicide data on trans people, as they are often not recognized as trans in death.

We speak over video call from his home in upstate New York, where he lives with Claudia, his girlfriend of 30-plus years, a poet and songwriter, and his tabby cats Honey Mustard and Snapdragon. Instead of working, he is building and decorating a swimming pool-sized enclosure for them, so that they can be outdoors safely at night. "You might call it a catio but we call it kitty city!" he says. "My friend who helped me build this thing gave it a once-over and he went: 'Expensive cats!"" Dourif, 75, is enjoying retirement so much that it takes a nudge from his agent to pull him away from the fantasy novel he is immersed in to alert him to the fact that he is 20 minutes late for our call.
Brad Dourif is living his best life.
Fuck bill C-2 and fuck Mark Carney. Don't let him turn Canada on the xenophobic hellhole the US has become.

His bank accounts here in the UK have been frozen. This is his home country. Never shut the fuck about this.
First meal in Taiwan
What a month. Paid off half of my student loans and purchased my first house.
Finally, finally I am done collecting articles for my literature review. I finally have the definitive collection (w/i specific parameters) of all 1471 academic publications ever produced on the intersection of autism and transgender identity. Now to make something of it.
Looks like you can rent them for not insane prices.
I figured, but good to know.
I mean my book's in there too, but am I suing libgen or Facebook? Because I agree with libgen and similar shadow libraries. I simply would not have been able to do academic work without them.

If the US cared they would run a ferry from the mainland for supplies at min.
Imagine how weird Point Roberts must be right now.
"She wears a tan uniform, reflecting her lack of criminal record." I want people to understand that this is functionally the same as Nazi labelling of inmates with stars and triangles.
In a bold push for medical privacy, Hawaii's House of Representatives has introduced HCR 144/HR 138, a resolution calling for the Hawaii Attorney General to investigate whether crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) are violating patient privacy laws.
Two years ago today, trans woman Eden Knight died at 23 after being trafficked out of the US and forcibly detransitioned in Saudi Arabia by her father Dr. Fahad Ibrahim Alshathri. In her final message, Eden named the individuals responsible for luring and capturing her: trans.cx/in-memory-ed...
βWe must be prepared to defend our sovereignty-not just with military spending, but with a population that is engaged, trained and ready.β Great piece by @petermacleod.bsky.social about how Canada needs a Civil Defence Force where every Canadian has a role to play. π¨π¦πͺ thetyee.ca/Opinion/2025...
