What are you doing with the market being closed today? Anything good?

These self-proclaimed breadth experts are all out there mansplaining breadth deterioration to each other without once mentioning sector rotation lol.
It's a market of stocks. And there are Airline stocks making new all-time highs
I just don’t understand all the complaining about what’s on mainstream media. Who cares? Why are you watching anyway? lol Put on some music. Go for a walk. Hug your family. I couldn’t think of a worse use of someone’s time than consuming news on basic cable. Grow up.
If the rate of inflation means anything to you, that was just a new 30-month high for TIPS relative to nominal yielding Treasuries $TIP / $IEF
At the end of 2022 and coming into 2023, Wall Street Strategist consensus was a down year for the S&P500, the first time that happened in decades. Here are the returns since Wall Street's Sell Side was the most bearish they've been this century
The US Dollar just closed the month at the highest levels in more than 2 years. What comes next? allstarcharts.com/all-star-chart…
My New Year’s resolution is to drink more wine from the Iberian peninsula. Whats yours?
Ok. It’s a new year. What happened in 2024 doesn’t matter anymore. Clean slate. Longs, shorts, new trends, persisting ongoing trends, stocks, rates, metals, dollars, crypto. What’s your best idea to make the most money in Q1 2025?
When I was younger I grew frustrated that I kept missing small-cap stocks that were ripping but fell through the cracks in my top/down approach. That’s when the “Minor Leaguers” were created: $1-$4 Billion market-cap stocks sorted by relative strength allstarcharts.com/all-star-chart…
Semiconductors are quietly making new 6-week highs today relative to Software stocks. This kind of intrasector-rotation back into Semis is probably not bearish for this market.
Just got a bunch of $PENGU added to my @spotdotdog account this morning. Free fake internet money. Thats cool.
Here is a weekly chart of the Equally-weighted Consumer Discretionary Index making new all-time highs relative to Consumer Staples, also on an equally-weighted basis. Historically during bull markets, Consumer Discretionary stocks regularly outperform Staples. This time too.
The Vilnius Index is breaking out of this multi-year base to new all-time highs.
After consolidating for over 6 months, is Taiwan ready to begin its next leg higher? Keep in mind that Semiconductors $SMH are down over the past 6 months. This is a major theme going into 2025 imo
Greece is pushing up against the highest levels in over a decade
Vinho Verde. It’s Portuguese. It’s a slightly sparkling white wine. I love the subtle carbonation. It costs $10.
This is a really important post. It's a time to be thankful. allstarcharts.com/all-star-chart… If it wasn't for these angry permabears promising you a crisis every day the past 2+ years, our returns would not have been as good. They cried recession. But all we got was the Nasdaq doubling.
I've been Pooh-poohing the idea of $100,000 Bitcoin being a relevant level this cycle. But this week's action changed my mind, and reiterated the importance of the $100,000 level, whether psychological, algo driven or otherwise. Doesn't matter why. But $100,000 matters now imo.
What's your best short idea?
Trump Media has been one of the best performing stocks this quarter, more than doubling in price just in Q4 alone. Humans can't think straight when politics are involved. So it's up to us to take advantage of them for our own profit. $DJT a good example of that arb opportunity
We're looking for the next $100 Billion company. Big ups to @howardlindzon for the inspiration behind this project. It's been a great addition to all the other work we do. We made it almost impossible for the next $100B company to NOT come from this scan allstarcharts.com/2-100-club-all…
Merry Christmas!
There's a lot at stake at these levels for Microstrategy $MSTR
We're looking at a VERY long-term chart of Silver. It goes back so far that we had to price it in Kilo. Tune into our conversation today on The Best Morning Show in Finance stockmarkettv.com/morning-show/m… @StockMktTV @SJisrael @sstrazza @JasonP138
Hungarian wine tonight. It’s a blend of Kékfrankos (Austrians call it Blaufränkisch) and locally grown Bordeaux varietals. Goes great with Chicken Paprikash. The Hungarians don’t mess around. Respect.
There's a difference between price performance and total return. Verizon and AT&T are a couple of good examples
I had a nice Spätburgunder with chicken tonight. It was great. Shout out German Pinot Noir
Mathematically, you can't have a bear market or a correction of any kind without the prices of stocks falling. And while the new 52-week low lists are virtually non-existent, we haven't seen any expansion in the new 3-month low lists either allstarcharts.com/all-star-chart…
Visa $V new all-time highs again this week. Mastercard $MA is right there too. Visa has the 3rd largest weighting in the S&P Financials Index (7.1%) $XLF which represents more than Bank of America $BAC and Goldman Sachs $GS combined. Visa also 4% of the Dow - 8th largest holding
