How do you do this without feeling that you’re labelling kids as “not academic” too early in their lives?

How do you do this in a financially sustainable way when school budgets have never been tighter?

How do you do this smartly in a world obsessed by league tables?

Has anyone got really great alternative curriculum pathways for ks4 students in a mainstream secondary?

We are seeing more and more complex needs coming up through ks3, and feeling that our ks4 and 5 curriculum may need developing so we have something for everyone.

Yes. I wonder if the question setters have anyone who’s worked in a classroom in the last 5 years? The level of SEND need and complexity feels really quite different.

Umm not at all sure about this from @thirdspacelearning.bsky.social - do you mean it doesn’t have a decimal point? Cos I’m pretty sure you don’t expect y5s to be working outside the decimal number system!

Schools facing cuts next year as unions sound alarm over £700m funding gap Research by the School Cuts coalition - run by education unions - shows 76% of primary and 94% of secondary schools will not be able to afford their costs in the next financial year

School leaders simply can’t make any more cuts without directly harming pupils’ education.

While we recognise the incredibly difficult financial inheritance this government is dealing with, children and young people’s education should not suffer as a result.

Weird. I love an informal chat first, even better if it’s in person with a walk round and cup of tea?

You don’t need an EP report. You get an assessment done by someone with a level 7 qual. These ppl charge by the hour so parental wealth may indeed be a factor. But also many schools have someone trained. I wonder what the stats look like if you separate out independent special schools…?
