I do have a father that has been addicted to drugs off and on his whole life and Trump's ramblings remind me of my father's violent tirades while high. We all have cognitive decline as we age but that's not what is fueling this.

He's not senile, he's on drugs. Sorry to get defensive but many of my family members have had dementia and while some have had bouts of paranoia or violence it's NEVER like this.

My mom turned super religious some years after my dad and her broke up. And she was especially bad(was caught up in a cultish like church) while I was in highschool.

Oh I actually think that's why she was so obsessed about sex and me. I came out as bi in highschool but I had been questioning my sexuality since my first female crush in first grade.(My dad is bi so I knew more about other sexualities than most kids.) So I think she knew even before I came out.

I'm glad that my kids agree with me that AI is harmful. When it first started seeping into everything I felt like the old man yelling at the cloud meme because I hated it. I hate it with such a fiery passion. It's good to know I'm not just getting old and out of touch.

As someone who never recovers like she should I so understand this. I'm sorry!
