Well, I just had someone on here compare me to Kristi Noem because I believe the victim(s), while this person thinks we should all just "take a breath" and see how this all shakes out. 🙄

It hurts like hell that a guy who I thought was one of the good guys turns out to be a predator and a bully, and I sure as hell will not defend him just because he has a D by his name. This is coming out at a time when CA Dems can still consolidate behind a candidate who is NOT a sexual predator.

Did not want to believe that a guy who SAID all the right things would do this, but it ain't my first day at the rodeo and my instinct is to believe the victims because THEY have the most to lose by coming forward (harassment, threats of violence, etc). 2/3

Oh, and for the record, I lived in the SF Bay Area for nearly 25 years. Thought Swalwell was a decent guy. Started seeing the reports of SA a week or so ago, as well as the early denials from him/his team. 1/3

Many times, SA victims don't come forward b/c they feel like they're alone or they did something wrong. Then, one person comes forward w/a story very similar, and that gives other victims the courage/strength to come forward, even though it could still cost them their career (and their peace). 2/4

How do YOU think this all came out now? What sources are you looking at? Do you really believe that, just because Swalwell has a D next to his name, he isn't capable of using his influence to assault (and then silence) women? Women often don't report because being a victim of SA is isolating. 1/4
