Conference attire day 3: fight evil, read books

I’m at a conference with a Western theme and honestly this might be my new aesthetic

And my standard conference pitch-taking shirt with a quote from Margaret Atwood to remind authors that they’re doing something that matters:”A word after a word after a word is power.”

Day 1 conference tee. Keeping it casual, as always.

My 14yo son just used “liminal” in conversation 😍🥰

I get that, both the introversion and the piles of books I already have...

Oh my gosh, yes! Bananas in particular have like a 30 min window of perfection.

And I like talking about the books I read, and sometimes picking/reading books I never would have chosen on my own. I absolutely love book groups and all they do for me and for literary community.

I go directly from “it’s too soon to start this book for book group, I’ll finish it too early and forget everything” to “how am I going to finish this in time for group??” So anyway I better start this book for Tuesday’s discussion.

Clients come first but I don't have time to read/edit any of their manuscripts before heading out for spring break tomorrow, so I'm excited to be back in my inbox today, reviewing pitches and early pages from the fall!

After a long day of editing at my computer, I just went to change into my pajamas to go to bed and realized I’m already/still wearing them. Saving time at bed time 🙌

My all day today (and tomorrow) since I have to finish this for book club on Monday and then start (and finish) the book for book club on Tuesday and then start (and finish) the book for book club on Thursday

Getting some good editing done today since I’ll be on an all-day field trip tomorrow (that I’d expected to be an hour and half or so).

Last 2 clients I signed have PARADISE in their title, the 2 manuscripts I'm currently editing both have a character named Sebastian, 2 read aloud family books in a row have a main character named Turtle. So much twinning happening!
