u have to start fast in the league and blow the whole thing up until even city give up. klopp in 19-20 did it (26 wins in 27 doesn't get spoken about enough) and slot last year did it too. arsenal haven't got that in them.

they seem to be growing don't they. boils down to champions league being the minimal acceptable target, if he achieved that, can they sack him? the alonso thing too, can they afford to miss the boat on him knowing that if they decide to change in oct he'll be somewhere else? i'd make a change fwiw.

best just to take these last 5 games as what they are. win the three home and hopefully get a point out of the two aways and that should be enough for fifth.

been shocking this season but ur right here. over the past few games he's been a lot better because he's not playing every game, he's in then rio plays and he comes on - like last season when he was great. he's not good enough to play every week but as a rotation with another left winger he is fine.

the magnitude of the game yes but the standard of football 18/19 was out of the world. it was a very good game today but our one there was a different level. the quality of the games in the league has been so poor this season overall that a game like today seems better than what it actually was.

i agree although think he's been better this season, haven't rated him at all until this season but think he's been good for them.

if they do, and i hope they don't, it'll be for psr (or whatever it's called) reasons or because the rumours mid-season of a fall out with slot are true and he wants to leave if slot stays.

i agree. my huge worry was that they'd want it more than us but we matched them for fight & effort. draw fair result but will take that all day. don't think everton fought as hard as i expected them to, the pitch being bigger & less tight than goodison certainly helped us but is detrimental to them.
