The president announces he is going to send troops into American cities (again) and immediately there is an outpouring of social media and mainstream media reaction minimizing the statement, saying it's just Trump being Trump, commenting on its weirdness. So, please, don't ask how this all happened.

I live in SC but work but in NC so I can relate. A lot of religious organizations (people like Franklin Graham) publicly endorse Trump, which carries a lot of weight. I also think there were was a lot of money pouring into NC for Republican campaigns that really helped sway swing voters.
Dems are giving Trump congressional votes, helping MAGA in the bluest states & resurrecting their party's unpopular has-beens rather than letting new leaders emerge.
In response, new polls show Dems are more loathed by voters than at any time in decades.
The government will no longer require companies to disclose their owners and beneficiaries, allowing wealthy corporations and individuals to hide their profits from the public.

At a time when itâs easy to feel defeated and hopeless, thereâs a person like Tim Walz who rolls up his sleeve and gets to work. By doing these townhalls (he didnât have to do), we can build a bigger and stronger coalition, giving us the chance we need to take back our government and democracy.
