Jazzed for this if they can do it right! The graphic novels were actually pretty good, so it seems like Scholastic's not too afraid to go as dark as the original books were.

In September, a box of old film reels was donated to the Library's National Audio-Visual Conservation Center. One of them was a nearly 130-year-old, long-lost film by iconic French filmmaker George Méliès. It had not been seen by anyone in likely more than a century. 🧵

Lady wearing a tshirt saying "The softness of moonlight. The strength of the sun" beneath overlapping female symbols
Woman wearing s shirt saying i am a lesbian. Bright red text on yellowy orange shirt
Guy wearing a shirt saying sodom today, gomorrah the world

Nothing more beautiful than these gay vintage t-shirts
Frederick Wiseman - rare case where a 96-year-old filmmaker’s death feels tragic because they had so much more left to do. Uninterrupted streak of curiosity, empathy, wisdom, and quiet anger, ended only by the reality of living in a human body.
Love Michael Brough's work, I still play Imbroglio on my phone all the time. I'm excited!
Just gonna link this again. I will edit again in a bit but that site is giving me problems. Maybe I should just use old fashioned PayPal. Anyway tomorrow my partner & I are gonna have to leave where we been staying and I’m not sure what we gonna do. So asking for help thx

The February page is pretty good too. Enjoyed this reference to the time loop episode.
Big advocate for "show don't tell" except when it's an anime and a cool guy is explaining the special move he just did or is about to do

Being tokupilled means going from "wow these effects are pretty corny" to "this is literally the coolest fucking thing I've ever seen in my life".

Full view of 1998 Xena: Warrior Princess calendar
January 15 entry on calendar: "MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.'S BIRTHDAY Xena ends the Trojan War"
I found out that you can reuse a decades old calendar if its year’s dates line up with the current year’s, so this year I got a lovely 1998 Xena: Warrior Princess calendar. The way they added show events into it is cracking me up.
also if we're talking about Elephant 6 and being unfairly excised from the canon - i wish more people talked about the first Circulatory System album. RIP to a legend www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZc3...
Xena: Warrior Princess and Animorphs were also like this. The 90's were a great time for the world's campiest philosophy lessons.
If you liked Preserving Worlds, help out the artist who did all the portrait and UI art with a tip!
I was just listening to this song this morning on the way to work!

Star Trek The Next Generation scene. We're in a home on a planet that's earth like, we see a couch and some windows looking out on greenery and sunlight and trees. And then there's Picard. He's much older now and a bit more festively plump and he's wearing non Starfleet clothing, all tan. He's sitting and grimacing and holding onto his belly, like that thing you do after you eat too big a meal and then grunt and groan as you sit down because you think you might split your pants. There's also another person but we can't really see em. No caption, just v full.
