You are not "weak," "stupid," or "bad" for struggling. Easy does it. Reel it in; reassure your "parts" & inner child you're on their side; breathe, blink, focus; & do the next recovery supporting thing.

I believe in you. You can do this.

We resonate with this so much

A lie Trauma Brain loves telling us is that we "need" that harsh inner "taskmaster" in order to get anything accomplished and/or hold ourselves "accountable"-- when the truth is, the inner critic actually sabotages & destroys our productivity in hundreds of little & big ways.

Remember: Trauma Brain will reliably blow right past positive feedback or performance milestones, & latch on to whatever "data" will convince us we suck.

When we're trying to understand how we're actually doing in a job or task, we need to take the "trauma filter" into account.

"Integration" in trauma recovery is not about making "parts" disappear. It's about our parts developing the capacity & willingness to work w/ & support each other, so we're not violently & unpredictably slamming in & out of self-states like we often were pre-recovery.

So many survivors of neglect specifically had the experience of working so hard to be "easy" to love & deal with-- but being made to feel as if they were particularly hard to love & deal w/.

You need to know: what that experience "taught" you about yourself was unfair & untrue.

Why Bones Is Never Officially Diagnosed As Autistic In The Show Is Bones an autistic character?

For #AutismAcceptance month ...

Since this time last year, the cast & crew of Bones have come out that Bones was presented as Autistic and intended to be written as openly Autistic.

However it was a network decision not to talk openly about Autism in the show.

to be disabled in our society is to be ignored at best, violently discarded at worst.

it doesn't need to be this way.

but this is the main value of our society at this time.

Makes sense we are apprehensive about Emusk involvement in our government and wonder how he is inserting himself into German research..*goes to research *
