I'm doing the same in about two months and it's also my first time! Good to know that you can walk parts of it- a few friends are concerned given that I've never done it but if I know my limits, I think I'll be fine.

NTSC box art for Spider-Man 3 (2007) for the Xbox 360
Spider-Man 3 (2007), Xbox 360 - April
I must've missed the part in the movie where Spider-Man beats the snot out of the hundreds of gothic lolitas. Only 1 out of 100 players have the achievement for finishing this game and I can see why.
Village has too many sections that aren't all that exciting to replay. Is very much a one-and-done affair
Ordering a burger, what would you say if they tell you to get the patties next door and that sauce & salad have been delayed to Q3 2026?
Bad service?
Then why do you accept it for (physical) games?
Drip-feeding updates has become so accepted, no wonder corpos press empty discs.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam (2007), Xbox 360 - April
Fun look back at what I believe is the first licensed Musou spinoff from Koei. This is a Warriors game at its most mindless but the hours still flew by. Interesting to see what made it from the anime and what didn't.

The Simpsons Game (2007), Xbox 360 - April
Kinda jank but it has its moments. Some of the mid-2000s deep cuts hit really well while others have been done to death. More of the former than the latter. Worth a playthrough but will probably stick to Hit and Run for my Simpsons game fix.

Cool little VN / life sim. I skipped the premiere of the anime adaptation at the con since I wanted to see how the story was originally intended. Still working through some of the other outcomes.
Signal Conversation freebread: They have Shampoo here for $40 but I'm afraid to ask Responder: Lolwut freebread sends GIF of Shampoo from the anime Ranma 1/2

There were no regular Olympic Games in 2020 either
If the player is patient enough to learn the controls, they're in for a real treat. Welcome to the Star Fox Zero apologist community!

Holy shit, dude.

Thanks for having a sense of humor about it ๐
Can probably turn the voices off on the replay ๐
3 is fun! Same great gameplay as 2 Remake but I beat it in one 6 hour session and moved on.

Airblade (2001), PlayStation 2 - March
I only played the demo when I was a kid but this is so short that it seems I didn't miss much. A lot of cool concepts bogged down by early 2000s jank, for better and worse. Love the OST and learning the objectives to optimize repeat runs is fun.

Crow Country (2024), Switch - March
Another fun afternoon. Puzzles are a bit easy but engaging enough to be fun. Keeps the game at a good pace. Story ended up being more interesting than I thought it would be. Excited for SFB's next game!
Box art for Silent Hill Shattered Memories (2009), Wii
Silent Hill Shattered Memories (2009), Wii - March
Climax's second Silent Hill game and quite an interesting one. The story is fun to follow with others watching and it's really cool how the smaller choices affect the game. Struggled with the motion controls but it did enhance the game overall.

What more can I say. Absolute blast from start to finish. Played with the ink ribbons as God intended. Grace's parts took the best of RE7 and made it even more tense. Replaying is a lot of fun too but needs DLC soon.

Silent Hill Homecoming (2008), Xbox 360 - March
Mediocre but inoffensive. Combat is a slog. Feel like I forgot the whole thing once I uninstalled. It's cool that you can get the UFO ending on your first run though.
NTSC box art for Mario Tennis Fever (2026), Switch 2
Mario Tennis Fever (2026), Switch 2 - March
Love me some Mario Tennis. Plenty to keep myself busy, still need to determine the fever racket meta. Adventure mode ended up being meh, complete slog for most of it and ends just as soon as it gets interesting. Happy it's included though.
NTSC-U box art for Chocobo Racing (1999), PlayStation
Chocobo Racing (1999), PlayStation - March
Great little cart racer. The unique take on the item pickup/upgrade formula made it feel like a Final Fantasy game. It also requires the player to engage with the mechanics if they want to succeed.
Cover Art for The Bouncer (2001), PlayStation 2
The Bouncer (2001), PlayStation 2 - February
The Bouncer. I've always been drawn to the aesthetic of this game and it is exactly the mess that I completely overlooked when I played it at a friend's house when I was 11. Still a fun waste of an afternoon.

Brought to you by Coca-Cola. Ok game but a huge letdown compared to the previous one in all aspects. I can get into a groove with classic survival horror controls but couldn't dodge some enemies no matter what I did. Still glad I played it though.
