All this moaning and complaining is meant to say if you’re going to switch genres carefully consider your pen name

It’s hard to step into a darker genre and convince people who normally read lighter stuff to come along, and people who already read darker stuff saw my other books and were like “Oh, the pillow book,” and thought DE will be like a sentient object thing too.

I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my author journey, but the biggest one was not using a separate pen name for Dead Emma.

Every time someone speaks positively about my books it means I love them and we’re getting married and I will cherish them forever and maybe someday we’ll buy plants or even a cat together.
