I have a couple but feel free to share any I might have missed!
It’s important to be clear that TikTok could have stayed up through the inauguration. Joe Biden said he’d not enforce the law.
They made a choice to shut down and display a pro-Trump message. They weren’t forced to.
Trump hated TikTok (because China) until it helped him win an election (as even he acknowledges) and now he’s going to save it and take a victory lap. So he’ll have X, TikTok, Insta, and Facebook all working on his behalf. That’s a big difference between now and 2017.
Right. My concern though - without tiktok we won’t know exactly what troubles we have. That was my unbiased news source - at least enough that it gave me a jumping off point to research things myself.

What a weird message to display… this plus the fact that Shou is going to the inauguration does not give me hope that I will be going back to TikTok if a “solution” is reached.
