i hate adding negativity to the pile, lord knows i haven't been checking my feed much today, but man. i made so few meaningful connections in ye olde years and the ones i did have grown too jaded for me to impart a lick of whimsy on. pictures of the crowds where you're juuust out of frame, forever

i agree that nostalgia is a trap not to be fallen into, i like to catch what i admired from earlier checkpoints and transpose it to the now. but as i notice how little hold i have on any spaces around me, how little i can spread those joys, it is hard not to just regress into another life sometimes

agree so much on textures being like part of songwriting, i feel like saying they aren't that still kind of stems from the posturing people do of acoustic guitar singer songwriter type beats still being the rawest form of expression which i always found weird but dont know if its like problematic
