We (Fulham) are missing players, but it isn't as if we are replacing them with players with no pedigree. Kevin with ball at his feet is very dangerous 1v1. Lukic was one of our defensive midfield linchpins last season. Iwobi is the biggest loss along with Tete.

Fulham had to when they got promoted. They had something like 5/6 loanees in the squad who all left in that summer. Did they buy appropriately? Probably not, but they had to spend money or their squad was going to be about 18 players.

Agreed, huge session now especially with Smith now in and the ball starting to move a little.

Was it a good first day though? Appreciate going from 5-2. England were in an excellent position to score over 400 and threw it away. The wicket is flat, with very little movement. No doubt Aus will show them how to grind out runs. England need a huge next session otherwise they are in big trouble.

Could see players like Alex Davies given a chance opening with Duckett, and I hope Sam Hain finally given a chance at 3. Wouldn't mind seeing Curran coming in to replace Livingstone.

Jamie smith switching to New Balance is upsetting.

Sam is only 26... Plenty of time for him to get back into the fold, especially in white ball cricket.

100% agree. Also takes an hour less time to play on a Saturday.

He is a player who is perfect in the last 15/20 mins at the moment for us. Agree we have got to a level where he won't start every week, but for me there is a still a place in the squad for him as a replacement for him or someone would cost more than from what we would get from selling.

Isn't it his first start after injury in a season which he hasn't played much? What happened to letting players get back up to speed with minutes on the pitch?
