Couldn't have planned it but someone else actually gave me the boost I needed after this morning's "no." I recently critiqued a dummy by post and the author emailed this morning me gushing over the feedback and encouraging me to offer critiquing professionally! I mean, if you can't write... (jk)

Congrats to the winners! I recognize a few from 12x12, etc. and one of my writing partners made it! Very cool! Looking at the titles, it looks like biographies, STEM and lyrical books did well this year ... noted! #pbparty

It's an opportunity to put some of that emotion into a story or idea brainstorm. Rejection, being told "no," processing emotions, winning/losing, jealousy, expectations vs reality, etc. are all viable PB themes.

I write it anyway! I almost didn't write my most recent one for marketability reasons but critique partners are calling it some of my best work. 🤷‍♂️

My biggest weakness is tinkering the charm out of stories while "checking all the boxes" in editing
