Going on a trip tomorrow I’m very much forward to, but leaving my dog with a (trusted) sitter for the first time for more than a day since we got her early covid. Feeling anxious. 😥

Get rid of the carpet. Carpet is gross to me. Get some kind of wood or fabricated floor and have nice rugs that can be cleaned. You can have nice soft rugs and also allergy issues remediated.

I have many stories of kindness from strangers in Japan when I lived there. The first one to mind is when I got lost a few days after moving into my apartment. Found a bookstore, and after much confusion, the clerk ended up walking me home, two blocks away, but I couldn’t understand or read signs.
