Perhaps the greatest number of spelling mistakes ever to be found in a national feature, but I’m filled with pride by every single one of them. Heidi went on our summer safari trip with a fear of the page; she came back with a story. Now up online and free to read at The Sunday Times.

It’s such a treat if your littl’un takes to travel. Heidi slept atrociously until she was nearly two, which scuppered early trip ideas, but once her sleeping settled she’s been all-in. Hope Maeve sees it all as a great adventure too.

Fun memories of rocking up in Villa de Leyva, in the foothills of the Andes, as #Colombia were playing a World Cup qualifier. Made some friends watching the game in a tiny cafe (“James Rodríguez es bueno!”), before heading out to wander the area’s pre-Columbian sites.
