Them being better doesn't guarantee they can teach / convey that experience to you.

Personal example, @lanlanlovesyou.bsky.social isn't even +3, yet he consistently gives me better advice than +2 players i have asked before (gotta mention the goat).

I think people need to value those aspects more over just raw skill at the game.
I get the basic idea a player better than you is probably doing more things right in a game, but for a lot of ppl, it's a combination of good mechanics and just learning from experience alone.

The skill set required to be a good coach is vastly different from the one to be a good player.
Met some ppl I have asked for help before who are naturally just good at explaining / communicating their ideas where I just instantly get it compared to higher level players explaining those same ideas.
