Today is an exciting day at the ELCA Churchwide Assembly here in Phoenix. The candidates for Presiding Bishop have been narrowed to seven, and the Assembly will hear brief remarks from each of them this morning before the third ballot.

On this #TerrierTuesday here is my long-time buddy who had to have an eye removed a week ago. He's recovering well and seems to want treats more than sympathy.

Even worse incompetence: they accidentally fired, then apparently today un-fired, hundreds of the people who manage America's nuclear weapons.

If only the Senate had a say in who gets to lead executive branch departments.
