Have you tried it for regex? I did for the first time yesterday and it’s absolutely insane how good it is. I gave it a few examples and it gave me a flawless regex which would probably take me the better part of a day to write myself.

At least when you have different opinions on Bluesky the discussions are still in the same reality. On X the level would be whether or not Bill Gates is using AI to monitor your hamster or not.

The extra work part is with broad unspecific questions (”is x or y better and why”). I had this as an example to be humble and not assume it is without faults. But this ”extra work” is a very small amount of times.

I even gave a specific example where it was incredibly useful with very limited input.
Give it specific questions in a domain where it had plenty of training data and it will give you very accurate answers.

That’s a bit of a stretch. AI isn’t a sociopath or liar—it’s a tool. Like any tool, it requires understanding and critical thinking to use effectively. The alternative is to dismiss something useful just because it isn’t perfect, which seems equally unproductive.

That’s a pretty broad and generalized statement. AI is great for generating boilerplate code or helping to point you in the right direction. When used correctly, it can save time and enhance workflows, even in professional environments.

Why would the team size matter? Would I be disallowed some tools if the code would be used in a larger system? Am I allowed to use google? What about books? Is chatgpt the only thing we’re not allowed to use, even if the result is the same as using google, only faster?
