Major alarm bells over this. Bessent wants US banks to require customers send in copies of their passports etc. to prove citizenship, which would be far beyond the know-your-customer checks that they're required to do already. Implies this could result in closing bank accounts over non-compliance.

That's not how any of this works. Palestine can make the Israeli occupation leave the same way that any people occupied in a border war would: by making peace and setting a border. Of course both states can exist. You don't need to destroy Israel to make it withdraw from Palestinian territory.

Ending a nation-state, against the will of its people, is creating conditions of life expected to greatly reduce the number of that national group. You want there to be no such people as Israelis anymore. That's genocide, even if you don't kill all of them. You want to eradicate a nationality.
