I've learned (and I am still learning) how to run a game studio for the last seven years doing both creative and biz. Here's a list of guidelines that work for us and might be useful for others that were lessons I've incorporated with our experience and guidance from others. 🧵
If there were no NDAs all around I could tell you about twenty projects in the last five years alone that followed these exact steps except for "and it all came together beautifully". If anything can be learned here, it's not that they found a writer on a writing site and a musician on a music site.
C'est le biais du survivant, chaque année on voit des dizaines de studios montés par des "dev blasé par tel ou tel gros studio" avec une équipe junior, des rencontres magnifiques sur un RS ou dans une soirée au pif etc.
Mais l'essentiel des jeux ne sortent pas, chaque jeu qui sort est un miracle ™
