On a whim I finally watched interstellar! What a phenomenal movie!
Also love to see who the people in the card game would be…probably James Burrows would be the director?
On a related Star Wars note and given your writing on Star Wars spacecraft I thought you might appreciate this piece I wrote - intelligentcollector.com/how-a-hand-b...
Thanks Derek! It’s super cool!
I wrote about one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen! A museum-grade replica of the original millennium Falcon! intelligentcollector.com/how-a-hand-b...
The front cover of a paperback copy of the Dutch version of J.R.R. Tolklien's The Hobbit, circa 1960. Eight cheerful-looking cartoon figures with long grey beards surround a smaller, waving beardless figure in the middle.
have you guys seen the Dutch cover of The Hobbit cuz I hadn't

Turn up the volume, ffs
When Universal sent Steven Spielberg to Rome in 1973 to promote ‘Duel’, he was anxious to meet Federico Fellini.
So Fellini met the young director, just starting out on a career that could never have been foreseen by Fellini, or even imagined by Spielberg himself.
SUPER NINTENDO CHALMERS

That is why Canadians are so happy, we literally eat glitter. 😊

3 cont. - because the musical (which I also haven’t seen) is a comedy, I was kind of expecting it to be funny, which it never was (but that’s on me).
#4 - Good boy - the movie doesn’t entirely work but Indy the dog is adorable & As a dog owner I can confirm that Indy is an indeed good boy.
I was stuck in airports for the day and caught up on some movies. Here are my quick reviews:
#1 - 28 Years Later. 2 or 3 different movies and ideas. Ralph Fiennes is amazing, obviously.
#2 - The Vanishing - wow. What a movie! What an ending!
#3 Operation Mincemeat- great cast but a little too slow
30 years ago today, Troy McClure starred in the musical “Stop the Planet of the Apes, I Want to Get Off!”
#TheSimpsons episode “A Fish Called Selma” first aired March 24, 1996.
It was SO fun!
Just finished watching the lovely OUR TOWN episode of Starfleet Academy. Count me a fan of the show!
Awesome movie! I can never get the soundtrack out of my head - in a good and busy way!
Sinners deserves Best Cinematographer simply for the fact that it's a modern movie where you can tell what's going on during all the night scenes
This is an enormous step forward for women of people.

The best Batman movie?
I can't be mad, horror did well at the Oscars:
4 for Sinners, 3 for Frankenstein, 1 for Weapons
Overall I’m satisfied with how all the winners went down tonight. Evenly spread among some really beautifully crafted movies this year!
I’d say that Guillermo is more expansive and broadly appealing whereas Anderson only seems to care for his own specific little worlds.
Although I didn’t love The Bride I credit Michael DeLuca for bringing it, Sinners, One Battle After Another and countless others to the screen in the past couple of years both as Chair of WB and when he was leading MGM.
I’ve been watching arrested development with my kids. Her performance as Lucille 2 is priceless!
So sick of fridges telling me what to do!
