—to do was to turn all the hatred I felt for the world into hatred for myself. At the time I didn’t know what else to do, now I know better. But the scars still stare at me every time I undress, reminding me the wounded child is still there and she weeps for the person we could’ve become.

I don’t like posting vent art, I barely create it. But when I see the scars on my thighs I feel ashamed. I’ve been trying to help myself lately by reminding myself that when I did that I was in the darkest part of my life, I was a kid who had no outlet for my frustrations and thought the best thing—

Is it considered vent art when it was created to help me feel better? (TW: depictions of self harm scars)
