I am thrilled to curate the Character in Context show, the largest exhibition of original illustration in the Western US, in its second year at the A.R. Mitchell Museum. Opening on May 2! Take a look at these artists in the show and get ready to see incredible work.

Drawn in a linework style and muted late-fall colors, a pre-colonial Wampnoag man stands on a high rocky cliff, overlooking a village of traditional homes and out to sea where a European sail ship is visible in the distance.

I should have posted about this earlier but I illustrated a book about what life was like for the Wampnoag people and European colonists at the time of the feast later thought of as the first Thanksgiving.
